I’m Bob Futrelle (Robert P. Futrelle)

Heart: My family and the natural world
Mind: Applied to everything, personal and professional
Me: A curious mix of focus, distraction, creativity

I’m a scientist.
Why such a general description, “scientist”?
This might help explain it:

Biology: 1972 to 1985, including U. Chicago and Biology faculty at U. Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
Computer Science: 1986-2011 – Faculty member, Northeastern University. Retired 2011

Hello-my name is Hannah and I am the great-granddaughter of Lucille Futrelle Flynt who was related to your grandfather Jaques Heath Futrelle. My mom has always told me the story about the infamous relative of ours who died on the Titanic. I finally decided to research him and I subsequently found your blog. I think our common family history is so facinating! Right now I am searching for some of his stories and novels, particularly The Thinking Machine. Do you know where I could find them? Thank you so much 🙂
